According to our newspaper, Comrade Wang Shouren, a retired officer of theBeijing garrison and former director of the Air Force Administration of theGeneral Staff, died of illness in Beijing on November 4, 2019 at the age of 85.

Comrade Wang Shouren was born in Ye County, Shandong Province in September1934. He joined the army in November 1950 and joined the Chinese CommunistParty in December 1956. He has successively served as the staff, deputysection chief, secretary, chief of the frontier defense department of thegeneral staff department, deputy director of the general staff operationsdepartment, and director of the army aviation department.
